Our comprehensive in-house laboratory has the ability to perform the following tests for emergencies or patients who require lab results to be known sooner than sending it to our out of hospital lab.
Complete Blood Count (CBC)
This is a breakdown of the cellular components to your pets' blood. With this test we can see if your has proper numbers of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Common things diagnosed with this test include anemias, infections and clotting disorders.Blood Chemistries
This is a conglomeration of values which look at organ function, protein amounts, glucose values, electrolytes and other biochemical functions of the body. Numerous diseases can be detected with this test including liver and kidney problems, diabetes, protein losing diseases, endocrine abnormalities.
PT/PTT Clotting tests
This test measures the body's ability to clot and prevent bleeding. We can diagnose such things as rodenticide toxicities, liver diseases and immune diseases of platelets (thrombocytopenias).
